My work deals with memory and survival; how memory is used to survive, how thoughts and emotions collide both quietly and violently, and how these things infinitely evolve. I desire to translate into image these subtle and fierce internal shifts and how they affect and are affected by experience, environment and will.

I have realized that I experience life in a cyclical multi-sensory way. Things never happen linearly, but seem often disjunctive, sometimes violent, and yet at the same time fleeting. I want to bring attention towards this inner life; this secret, hidden, unseen life that we all share. For me, this place is closer to the reality that I experience than that which most see. I also want to explore how these inner realities bump and collide, and how we affect each other. How is it that our thinking evolves, both individually and as a society?
